We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we offer a straightforward return process within 30 days of delivery.

Our Return Guarantee

Return any eligible part within 30 days in its original condition for a full refund or exchange. We'll make it right — no hassle.

1. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • Item must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date
  • Part must be in its original, uninstalled condition
  • Part must be undamaged and free from any installation marks or modifications
  • Original packaging must be intact (if applicable)
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) must be provided

Parts that have been installed, modified, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for return unless there is a manufacturer defect covered under warranty.

2. Return Window

Returns must be initiated within 30 calendar days of the delivery date. We are unable to accept returns requested after this period. We recommend inspecting your parts upon delivery and contacting us promptly if there are any issues.

3. How to Initiate a Return

Follow these steps to return a part:

  1. Contact us — Call us at +1 (000) 000-0000 or email info@autopartworld.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. Receive an RMA — We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions
  3. Package the part — Securely package the part to prevent damage in transit. Include the RMA number on the outside of the package
  4. Ship the return — Ship the package using the carrier and address provided in your RMA instructions
  5. Receive your refund — Once we receive and inspect the returned part, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days

Do not ship returns without first receiving an RMA number. Returns without an RMA may be refused or delayed.

4. Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error (wrong part sent, defective item, or damage during shipping).

  • Customer error or change of mind: Customer pays return shipping
  • Our error (wrong part, defect, damage): We provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost
  • For large items (engines, transmissions), we will coordinate freight pickup — please do not drop these at a carrier location without arranging freight service with us first

5. Refund Process

Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it within 1–2 business days and notify you of the status. If approved:

  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of approval
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 3–5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
  • A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply for returns of engines, transmissions, or other large components returned for reasons other than defect or our error

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Electrical components (ECUs, modules, sensors, switches) — due to the risk of electrical damage during installation attempts
  • Special-order or custom-sourced parts
  • Parts that have been installed or show signs of installation
  • Parts returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Items returned without an RMA number
  • Parts damaged by the customer after delivery
  • Clearance or final-sale items marked as non-returnable at time of purchase

7. Warranty Claims

If a part fails within the warranty period, please contact us to initiate a warranty claim:

  • Used / OEM Parts: 90-day warranty from delivery date
  • Remanufactured Parts: 1-year warranty from delivery date

Warranty claims require:

  • Proof of purchase (order number)
  • Description of the failure
  • Proof of professional installation (installation receipt or documentation)
  • Return of the defective part for inspection

Approved warranty claims will result in a replacement part or full refund. Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, accidents, or modifications.

8. Core Returns

For certain parts (engines, transmissions, alternators, starters), we accept core returns and will issue a credit toward your purchase or a separate refund. Core return policies:

  • Cores must be returned within 30 days of your order delivery
  • The core must be a direct replacement for the part purchased (same application)
  • Core credit amounts vary by part — we will inform you of the credit amount at time of purchase
  • Cores must be drained of fluids and securely packaged for shipment
  • Core credit is applied after we receive and inspect the returned core

Contact us before returning any core so we can provide proper shipping instructions.

9. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for the same part in a different specification (e.g., different mileage range) or for a different compatible part, subject to availability. Exchanges must be initiated within the 30-day return window. Contact us to arrange an exchange before returning your part.
