At Auto Part World, we strive to get your parts to you as quickly and safely as possible. Please review our shipping policy below.

1. Order Processing Time

Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Processing time depends on the type of part ordered:

  • Standard Parts (in stock): Same business day if ordered by 2:00 PM EST, otherwise next business day
  • Engines & Transmissions: 1–2 business days for inspection, preparation, and secure packaging
  • Special Order Parts: 2–5 business days — we will notify you with an estimated ship date

You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information once your order has shipped.

2. Shipping Methods & Carriers

We ship via the following carriers based on the size and weight of your order:

  • UPS Ground / 2-Day / Next Day Air — most small to medium parts
  • FedEx Ground / Express — small to medium parts
  • USPS Priority Mail — small parts and accessories
  • LTL Freight Carriers — engines, transmissions, and other oversized items

We select the most efficient carrier for your order. If you have a carrier preference, please note it in the order comments and we will do our best to accommodate.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to weather, carrier issues, or other factors outside our control.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order. Rates are determined by our carrier partners and reflect actual shipping costs.

  • Standard ground shipping rates start from $9.99 for small parts
  • Freight shipping for engines and transmissions typically ranges from $79–$199 depending on location
  • Expedited shipping rates are shown at checkout

5. Free Shipping

We offer free standard ground shipping on all orders over $150 (within the contiguous United States). Free shipping applies to standard ground delivery only and does not include expedited shipping, overnight shipping, or freight shipping for oversized items such as engines and transmissions.

6. Large Items — Freight Shipping

Engines, transmissions, and other large items are shipped via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight carriers. Please note the following for freight shipments:

  • Freight deliveries are curbside — the driver will bring the item to the curb, not inside your home or garage
  • You must be present to sign for freight deliveries
  • Liftgate service is available for an additional fee — please request this at checkout if you do not have a loading dock or forklift
  • Inspect the package carefully before signing the delivery receipt — note any damage on the delivery receipt
  • Do not refuse the delivery unless the part is visibly destroyed; note damage on the receipt and contact us within 24 hours

7. Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number. You can use this tracking number to monitor your shipment on the carrier's website. If you have not received tracking information within 2 business days of ordering, please contact us.

8. Damaged or Lost Items

If your order arrives damaged:

  • Note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing
  • Take photographs of the damaged packaging and part
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos
  • We will file a carrier claim and arrange a replacement or refund

If your package is lost in transit, please allow 2 business days beyond the estimated delivery date before contacting us. We will initiate a trace with the carrier and resolve the issue.

9. International Shipping

Currently, we ship within the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. We do not offer international shipping at this time. If you are located outside the US and are interested in purchasing, please contact us to discuss options.
